Marking Time: #Tidesong Launch

  • Beaches around the UK (map)

Take part in a collective, coastal art experience. Tidesong is an interactive, online artwork designed to be accessed at the coast. It makes audible the ebb and flow of the tides, and plays on the rhythmic pattern of interactions between the earth, the moon and the sun. Come together with the artist, and other audience members, on beaches or tidal rivers around the UK for the Tidesong launch. Join in with the collective outdoor experience, by accessing the app on Saturday 3rd July at 3pm, to experience tidesong in situ, at your nearest beach or tidal river.

Taking part will automatically generate your own unique tidesong and place it on an audio-map of the UK coastline. Full details are on the Tidesong website, where you can also join in from home. Share images and reflections from your experience on social media throughout the weekend using #Tidesong
